5 years of successful and technical construction experience minimum – preferred experience in carpentry
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable means of transportation for job site access.

Master Craftsman Position Summary 

A Master Craftsman is an expert builder who commands the lead role of a job site’s day-to-day growth.  Craftsmen with Elev8 308 will be required to execute technical tasks involving tactful physical labor on residential and light commercial projects both large and small. A Master Craftsman will demonstrate high-level knowledge to execute a wide array of construction-oriented assignments. Utilizing a variety of hand and power tools Master Craftsmen will deliver a product of the utmost quality. They will operate and manage in a construction setting from a project's start until its completion.  They may assist other trade workers to hit deadlines. Master craftsmen must be highly skilled, autonomous, proactive, and able to navigate as well as lead and train others through the complexities found within all facets of construction.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities TO APPLY

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
● Perform a variety of tasks involving technical based manual labor in a construction setting
● Utilize previous construction experience to complete various scopes of work in an efficient and timely manner
● Versatile technical experience with tools of the trade, construction processes, safety regulations and leading projects from start to end. 
● Successful skills of project management, site cleanup, and clear communication
● Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and spec sheets to carry out the required scope of work, scan any gaps in information and fill in or request additional information.
● Work professionally in a group setting to include other employees, trades, and clients alike
● Openly train or provide leadership to other team members by offering insights and opportunities around improvement using past successes and learnings
● Ensure that proper job site safety and quality control procedures are followed; bring problems to the attention of the group
● Properly handle and store materials 
 

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) TO APPLY

  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment
  • Minimum 5 years construction experience demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform high-quality Master Craftsman level work
  • High level knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in construction
  • General knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions
  • Must be presentable in a professional and clean manner
  • Must be able to utilize critical thinking skills to navigate diversity with a clear mind and attitude
  • Ability to:
    • work independently and/or with a team in a leadership role to complete daily activities according to work schedule
    • lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions
    • communicate orally and in writing
    • use equipment and tools properly and safely
    • understand, follow and delegate written and oral instructions
    • meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency

Pay

  • Based on experience starting at $25/hour
  • Salary position available to the right candidate after an assimilation period

  • Majority of time will be working within 1 hour of Burwell/Ord area and home nearly every evening
