Cyber Security Training with Region 26

Region 26 Emergency Management and North Central Planning, Exercise and Training Region, will host a Cyber Security Training on February 25, 2019 at the Trotter Event Center in Ord. 

Speaker: Glenn Bard, retired Pennsylvania State Trooper First Class, Computer Crimes Investigator and Forensics Investigator. 

Topics to be covered include: 
Current security trends
What is a virus
Ransomware attacks
What are the current threats
How do they travel the internet
What is the goal of these attacks 

Information will be shared on protecting yourself online, what to look for if you think you're a target, what happens if you are attacked and who to notify if you have been infected and how to keep it from spreading.
