DESCRIPTION:Region 26 Emergency Management and North Central Planning\, Exercise and Training Region\, will host a Cyber Security Training on February 25\, 2019 at the Trotter Event Center in Ord. \n\n\n\nSpeaker: Glenn Bard\, retired Pennsylvania State Trooper First Class\, Computer Crimes Investigator and Forensics Investigator. \n\n\n\nTopics to be covered include: \n\nCurrent security trends\n\nWhat is a virus\n\nRansomware attacks\n\nWhat are the current threats\n\nHow do they travel the internet\n\nWhat is the goal of these attacks \n\n\n\nInformation will be shared on protecting yourself online\, what to look for if you think you're a target\, what happens if you are attacked and who to notify if you have been infected and how to keep it from spreading. \n\n\n\nRegister by calling Region 26 Emergency Management at (308) 942-3461.
