Hands of Heartland is looking for compassionate and caring individuals to work with the people we support as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Ord, NE.
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Ord, NE plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities by providing compassionate, person-centered care and support. This position focuses on assisting people with daily living activities, promoting independence, and encouraging community integration. The DSP will work closely with the individuals to develop and implement individualized support plans that align with their goals and preferences. Through consistent and respectful interaction, the DSP fosters a safe and nurturing environment that empowers the individuals to achieve their fullest potential. Ultimately, this role contributes to the overall well-being and personal growth of the individuals served, ensuring they lead fulfilling and meaningful lives.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with valid auto insurance.
- Ability to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions and care plans.
- Experience is preferred although no experience required. We will train you!
Full-time hours. 8a-5p with every other weekend required. Some flexibility with shift hours available.
Starting pay is $18 an hour. We pay more for experience and if you have a CNA license. Incentives also available.
