Exercise Science Coordinator
Valley County Health System has an exciting opportunity available for an Exercise Science Coordinator to join our team as a Cardiac Rehabilitation team! This position is part-time and will work 24 hours per week on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays.
JOB SUMMARY: The Exercise Physiologist is responsible for the following duties: Obtains cardiac referrals and assesses third party payer eligibility • Obtains admission orders from primary provider • Assesses and updates care plans in collaboration with the provider • Implements and monitors exercise, education plans and goals for patients • Maintains Policy and Procedures for Cardiac Rehabilitation program • Performs all aspects of position in a compliant manner, following all applicable state and federal regulations..
REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science • Provide safe and appropriate care • Experience with computers (word, excel, etc.) • Previous Cardiac Rehab experience is preferred • Independent problem-solving skills and self-directed work experience • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills • Demonstrated leadership skills
