Cook or Nutritional Services Assistant
Valley County Health System has a great opportunity for a Cook or Nutritional Services Assistant to join our dedicated and professional Nutritional Services team. This is a full-time position with a 4-day work week! The Cook/Assistant works 34 hours per week including every third weekend and holiday.
JOB SUMMARY: Responsibilities of the Cook/Assistant include preparing food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local regulations, and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures. This position coordinates meals for hospital patients and staff.
REQUIREMENTS: • Minimum age of 18 years old required • One-year dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or other related medical facility preferred, but not required • Independent problem-solving skills and self-directed work experience • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills • Demonstrated leadership skills
