Job Title: Grant Writer Contract Employee
Degree Required: Associate
Degree Preferred: Bachelor
Experience required: 2 years related work experience.
Qualifications: Associate degree with 2-3 years' experience working in grant writing and administration, small business development, and economic development preferred.
Work Commitment/Compensation: Duties performed will require, on average, 4-8 hours per week at $25/hour. Work commitments will depend on grant availability and time commitments necessary to complete each specific request.
General Summary: Plans, organizes, directs and supports VCED Executive Director to investigate, plan, write, and administer various community and economic development grant opportunities to support the growth and goals of the Valley County Economic Development Board. This is a contract employment position and employed on an at-will basis.
Essential Functions:
· Research various philanthropic, state, and federal grant makers that may fund Valley County economic development programs, projects and objectives.
· Prioritize grant requests per the VCED Board and Executive Director priorities.
· Work with the VCED Executive Director to write and administer grants in priority areas.
· Research opportunities to support interlocal agreement partner grant needs and work with the VCED Executive Director to prioritize grant requests.
