Entity Formation & Raising Capital- January 22, 2025: Preston Peterson, Loup City based lawyer, will help you determine the right legal structure for your business, plus what you need to know about raising capital to get started, including utilizing public funds.
Small Business Claims & Business Law Basics- January 30, 2025: Small Claims Court is designed by our lawmakers to be easy in order to facilitate “small” “claims”. What is a claim? Is it small enough? How do I go about using this court system? What should I be concerned about? These are all common questions that many would not have the first idea on figuring out for themselves. Christian Gosselin is a practicing litigation attorney who can provide general information about this court system so you can effectively represent yourself. PLUS If you’ve ever had questions about how contracts work (or don’t) and how that relates to businesses, or have general questions about business matters, Christian Gosselin represents dozens of small businesses (both corporations and limited liability companies) and can answer your general questions about business law so you can effectively represent yourself in your business… or know when to say “I should get an attorney.”
Registration is required by January 20, 2025 by 5:00 PM. Register at the Ord Area Chamber/CCC Ord Center office or by calling 308-728-7875. Cost for both classes is $75, or $50 for Ord Area Chamber members.
