Health Insurance Lunch & Learn
Many Nebraskans have questions about insurance and how it affects their family or business. In order to answer these questions, the Nebraska Department of Labor will have experts on hand to speak about the following topics:
- The Affortable Care Act (ACA), also known as Obamacare, and the future
- Health insurance options for individuals and businesses
- 2017 premiums
- Property and casualty insurance (including workers comp and disaster)
"With the increase in health insurance premiums, the upcoming open enrollment process will be very important. Nebraskans need to shop around and make sure that the plan they choose during open enrollment is the one that fits their needs," said Director of Insurance Bruce Ramge. "While price is one important factor, consumers need to make sure that the hospitals and doctors they go to are in their plan's network."
"The Department wants to provide a positive consumer experience by providing insurance for their business or family," said Director Ramge.
