First Day Hike at Fort Hartsuff

Make your First Day Hike historic! 2026 is the US 250th anniversary, and Fort Hartsuff is celebrating 150 years! Come explore the past with a self-guided tour of the park. Dress warm and take an easy ½ mile hike around the parade ground. The gift shop and some historical buildings will be open from 10AM to 1PM. Free hot cocoa, cookies, and US 250th stickers at Post Headquarters, while supplies last! 2026 park permits are required for park entry and are available at the front desk.
