Ericson Lake 5K Fun Run

Get your shoes laced up and head out to Lake Ericson for the Return of the 5K Fun Run. Saturday, June 13th - 8:30 AM Ericson Lake, just south of Ericson, NE Register online before June 1st for your free tank top This is a non-timed 5K Fun Run for walkers and runners of all ages and levels.  With the rolling sandhills as a backdrop, the level course will weave you around beautiful Lake Ericson through a rural mixture of roads and trails consisting of gravel, dirt and sand. As a non-profit organization, the Ericson Lake Corporation strives to protect and promote wildlife and water conservation as well as to provide an environment in which to enjoy it. Day of Schedule: 7:30 AM - 8:15 AM - Registration and packet pick up at the Carouse Picnic Shelter. 8:15 AM - Volunteer Meeting 8:20 AM - Pre-Race Meeting 8:30 AM - Race Begins Packet Pickup: Packet Pickup will be Friday, June 12th from 6-8 PM at the ELC Building and Saturday, June 13th from 7:30 - 8:15 AM at the carousel picnic shelter near the boat ramp. * All participants will need to have a signed waiver prior to or at packet pickup. PRIZES: Participants will be entered into a door prize type drawing. Runners 18 & older will be entered into the adult drawing and 17 & under will be entered into the kids drawing. Must be present to win.  Adult Prizes Include: Weekend Getaway to Lake Ericson (cabin rental & tanking rental); Party Bus Rental; 1-Night Weekday Hotel Stay at Grand Island Casino & Resort. Kids Prizes Include: 12’ Inflatable Water Trampoline, Yard Games & Game Night Package Come down the night before and stay for the weekend. Lake Ericson offers camping of all styles from tenting area to large RV sites with electrical hookups.
