Aesop's Fables - NLS Community Theatre
The North Loup Scotia Community Theatre (NLSCT) will be presenting a family oriented production Friday, May 2 at 7 pm and Saturday, May 3 at 2 pm at the North Loup Community Theatre. “Don’t count your chickens before they’re hatched.” “No one believes a liar even if he is telling the truth.” “If you can’t speak well of a person, it’s best not to say anything.” These are a few adages or morals that you have probably heard throughout your lifetime? Although many ancient philosophers authored these same ideas, Aesop in Aesop’s Fables is most often credited with the morals. Aesop was a Greek slave who created and told over two hundred fables to eventually secure his freedom.
This fun production of “Aesop’s Fables” is directed by veteran director, Sherian Craft and is sponsored by KNLV radio. The actors range from age four to somewhere in the fifties. It is definitely a family affair. Ms. Craft predicts that no one can watch the production without smiling a lot.
Refreshments will be offered after the show. Tickets are available in advance at the North Loup and Ord Pump and Pantries, Valley Fire in Ord or calling Ms. Craft at 308-496-3377. They will also be available at the door. A special family pricing of $22 for two adults and two children is being offered for presale tickets. Individual adult tickets are $8 and children, twelve and under, $5.
