DESCRIPTION:Valley County Health System invites the public to attend their 50th Anniversary Celebration on Sunday\, November 9th from Noon   2 pm at the hospital\, 2707 L Street in Ord.\n\n \n\nThe event will include a free chili soup and pie lunch. Musical entertainment will be provided as well as tours of the new hospital and Valley View Living Center. At 1:00 pm there will be a dedication ceremony of the newly established reflection garden\, located outside of the Courtyard Grille.\n\n \n\nIn the early 1960s\, residents of Valley County voted to establish Valley County Hospital\, replacing a facility located on South 16th Street in Ord that was considered in poor repair by the Nebraska State Health Department. The Valley County Hospital was dedicated on August 2\, 1964. Patients were transferred from the old facility on September 24\, 1964.\n\n\n\nFor more information\, call 728-4347.
