SUMMARY:Healthcare Reform Seminar
DESCRIPTION:This is a very important time for employers and employees to explore the requirements\, mandates\, rules and general information regarding the Patient Protection and Care Act (PPACA)\, commonly referred to as Obama Care. What is required of you as an employer\, what are the benefits of providing coverage\, what are the penalties if you don't? What level of coverage is required\, who do you have to pay for and how much? What are the responsibilities of your employees\, what are their options\, who will receive subsidies and where do you go for answers? There are a multitude of additional questions\, some we are able to answer\; others are still waiting on guidance or rules from federal agencies. We would like to share with you the information that is available now. \n\n \n\nWe would like to invite you to join us for an informative healthcare reform update/presentation. We will have 4 presentations for your convenience. Two will be in Ord at the Central Community College-Ord Learning Center on May 8th. On May 9th\, we will be presenting at the Baptist Church in Burwell. Both locations will have presentations at 1:30 and 7:00 pm. The theme of the presentation is:\n\n\n\nThe Road to 2014. How Healthcare Reform will Impact Employers and their Employees.\n\nTopics covered will include:\n\nWhat's happening in 2014?\n\nHealth Insurance Exchanges and how they will affect small group and individual health plans.\n\nIndividual and Employer mandates (i.e. penalties).\n\nRules on what plans must cover and overall plan design\n\nHow we will help you through the maze.\n\n \n\nWe will allow plenty of time for Q&A. Our presenter is Paul Scholz from OCI Insurance\, a firm that provides back room support to many of my small group employee benefit plans. Paul joined OCI in January of 2009 as an Account Executive where he specializes in the 2-99 employee group market. At OCI\, he personally supports over 300 agents with the writing\, planning and development of group benefit packages. Paul is an active member of NAIFA and NAHU and has presented multiple employee benefit topics to the local and state associations. Each day Paul allocates several hours to reading and researching updates pertaining to the ever evolving rules and regulations within and surrounding PPACA. Through NAHU\, Paul received his accreditation as a Certified Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act Professional. Due to his vast knowledge on the subject\, Paul has done numerous presentations on healthcare reform to both clients and agents alike.\n\n \n\nI'm confident you'll find this update helpful in understanding what new developments are coming in the near future. I certainly hope that you will find time to attend one of these sessions.\n\n \n\nThese seminars will primarily be focusing on the Employer/Employee relationship. However\, the individual marketplace will be discussed to some degree out of necessity. We do plan on holding additional seminars intended to answer questions regarding the individual marketplace.\n\n\n\nPlease RSVP to kkremke.tci@nctc.net or call (308) 346-5220 if you and/or your staff will be joining us.
