SUMMARY:Cultures in Harmony with William Harvey
DESCRIPTION:Join our community as we welcome Cultures in Harmony\, a nonprofit organization\, to Valley County. On Wednesday\, December 7\, 2016\, William Harvey\, a concert violinist and philanthropist\, will visit Ord as part of a 50-STATE TOUR as he explores "WHAT IS AMERICAN CULTURE?" Our community and region are blessed to be part of this national conversation and celebration of our country's diversity. His visit on December 7 will take place at The Golden Husk with a light lunch starting at 11:30 a.m. followed by an interactive musical performance by Mr. Harvey and discussion on the American cultural tapestry\, with the conclusion at approximately 1:00 p.m. To learn more about this project\, visit www.culturesinharmony.org/americanculture.\n\nHarvey's visit to Valley County is congruent with a recent "commUNITY" theme developed by the Valley County Philanthropic Partners (VCPP)\, an informal network of non-profit leaders throughout Valley County. VCPP strives to create a connected culture of gratitude\, collaboration and unity in Valley County. One way VCPP creates this culture in our community is by hosting the annual Big Give to Valley County in March.\n\nRegistration for the Cultures in Harmony event is $10 per person and includes lunch\, musical entertainment and the opportunity to be a part of this national conversation and celebration. Register by calling The Golden Husk at (308) 730-8133 or the Ord Area Chamber office at (308) 728-7875. This event is being hosted in our local community by The Golden Husk\, Valley County Community Foundation Fund and the Valley County Philanthropic Partners.
