DESCRIPTION:1875 Grand Thanksgiving Ball at Fort Hartsuff\n\n\n\nCelebrate the 150th Anniversary of Fort Hartsuff with a recreation of the 1875 Grand Thanksgiving Ball! On Saturday\, Nov. 15 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.\, the Enlisted Men's Barracks will be cleared out and decorated for a period-correct catered light supper\, music\, and dancing.\n\nTickets for the evening ball will go on sale Sept. 1.\n\nDaytime activities will be open to all visitors and will include a military marksmanship practice and a dance rehearsal. Music provided by The Gum Springs Serenaders. Dance steps called by Deborah Hyland. A period-correct light supper and desserts provided by County Catering of Ord.\n\nVolunteer registration for historical reenactors is currently open. Please contact the park for details.\n\nA valid Nebraska state park vehicle permit is required for entry.
